About the PositionResolute Investment Group (Resolute) is looking for a highly motivated and determined individual that is desirous to gain experience in commercial real estate investing. This individual will be joining a SF Bay Area based firm focused on the acquisition, management and disposition of commercial multi-family assets across the United States.The ideal candidate must be willing and able to assume a wide array of responsibilities, including coordinating third-parties, managing aspects of the due diligence process, financial modeling, asset management, investor reporting, among other functions. As such, the Associate will benefit from exposure to numerous business modules while simultaneously focusing on the ultimate goal of value creation.Associates will have the opportunity to: 1. Learn and develop a broad range of financial, credit, real estate underwriting, valuation, modeling and analytical skills;2. Enhance business communication, writing, investor interaction, deal negotiation and leadership abilities;3. Broaden their network of vendors, lenders, investors, brokers and peer private equity firms;4. Take on a wide array of responsibilities that span investments, business development, and investor relations; and,5. Evolve their critical thinking, discipline and overall investment acumen.Responsibilities1. Create detailed models for prospective, new and existing investments2. Author fund-level economic analysis and assist with fund-level investment performance modeling3. Draft market, comparable property, economic analyses4. Evaluate prospective investments across North America5. Make calls to agents, brokers and property owners6. Review monthly property financials, rent rolls and other property-level reports for accuracy, completion, and provide feedback to the property management team7. Interface with property management teams to ensure objectives are being completed8. Provide various analysis and presentation materials9. Lead the development of presentations for lenders, investors and investment staff10. Assist in asset management of the current investment portfolio11. Assist with onsite due diligence, sometimes requiring travel on short notice12. Track and report information relevant to real estate transactions13. Perform extensive due diligence, including travelling to properties, meeting various management teams, coordinating consultants, and formulating investment strategies and development plans14. Assist with modeling various capital structure scenarios and review of lender documentsRequirements1. Passion for investing, learning, and continuous professional development2. Very strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word3. Understanding of financial statements, financial modeling and real estate finance4. Prior investment banking and/or investing experience is a plus5. Strong sense of competitiveness, humor and humility6. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly7. Unwavering work ethic8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills9. Ability to work independently10. Ability to work with a diverse group of people11. Extremely strong attention to detail under tight deadlines12. Demonstrated poise, integrity and an ability to remain diplomatic under stress13. Willingness to work relatively long hours and weekends on an as-needed basis14. Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Windows OS15. Prior or current coursework in accounting, finance, economics, and/or real estate is a plus16. Demonstrated interest and knowledge of the capital markets and commercial real estate17.
