The Clinical Contracts Manager is responsible for the review and management of high-quality vendor contracts and budgets in a timely manner that balances the needs of all parties while maintaining internal and external relationships. All clinical agreement work will be done in accordance with company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), legal and regulatory requirements, and using fair market valuation. Proactively identify unique business scenarios found throughout all aspects of the contract lifecycle, thinking big and differently, formulating executive-level recommendations and implementing process improvements to drive speed and simplicity by gaining credibility, influencing and partnering across a diverse array of cross-functional teams Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

• Reviewing, analyzing and processing a variety of vendor contracts (including budgets) utilizing enterprise-wide contracting processes and systems.
• Conducting contract and budget review for assigned vendors, using historical contract and budget data.
• Providing contract administration support, and supplier contact activities to provide for proper outsourcing contract execution.
• Overseeing the contract management process for assigned vendor contracts including working with the vendor and the internal teams to ensure contract content is complete and accurate.
• Liaising with Clinical Operations study teams, external vendors, Legal, and other functional groups to answer questions or seek information related to vendor contracts, as appropriate.
• Tracking progress of contract activity to provide status updates to internal and external parties.
• Compiling and analyzing contract data and maintaining historical contract information.
• Participate in initiatives and/or special projects, as assigned.
• Providing support with scheduling of quarterly metrics/governance meetings with assigned vendors. Work with the vendor to ensure accuracy on presentation content.
• Crafting innovative approaches to handle complex terms in a wide range of transactions by balancing the opportunities and risks created for various functional teams who look for solid analysis, sound judgment and creative and practical contractual guidance, even in ambiguous situations
• Demonstrate a genuine ability to and interest in building relationships with key customers both internal and external in order to deliver customer-centric solutions
• Driven to develop new skills and learn new concepts which form the basis for leading edge innovative negotiation strategies and professional development Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or substitute 5 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of contracts or vendor management experience
  • Well-versed in MS Office software programs
  • Able to effectively interface with high level management
  • Self-starter, passionate and a great communicator in order to establish relationships and build emotional connectivity which drives and inspires both internal and external customers
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, with strong awareness of what type of communication is appropriate for what audience
  • Comfortable operating in both structured and unstructured environments.
  • Understand and articulate the business case behind decisions.
