We are looking for someone who has experience in leading and building platforms as a product/service. We also would need for this leader to have solid experience in budget management and leading an offshore team. It would be considered a huge plus if you had some gaming experience, but that is not a requirement for the role.What You Will DoOversee front-end and back-end development teams and their projectsMonitor reliability and performance of all internal systems to suggest improvementsEnsure compliance with security regulationsManage software development projects by setting requirements, goals and timelinesPrepare and manage the engineering department's budgetDesign strategies for future development projects based on the company's overall objectives and resourcesHire, retain and develop engineersImplement innovative technologiesCoordinate with external stakeholders for new integrations and toolsReview and update policies relevant to internal systems and equipmentWho We Think Will Be A Great FitWork experience as a director of engineering or in a similar senior-level position at an engineering department (preferable in building platform)Extensive experience in scaling engineering organization with people, processes, and technologyHands-on experience in back-end development and cloudGood understanding of agile methodologiesLeadership abilities with a strategic mindExcellent project management skillsBSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science or relevant fieldThe pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $235,000 and $290,000 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
