The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and meet the highest standards of quality and safety.Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of maintenance staff and contractors to ensure that all maintenance and repair work is completed efficiently and effectively.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and increase the longevity of equipment and systems.
• Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify potential maintenance issues and ensure that all facilities are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Manage the budget for facilities maintenance, including developing and implementing cost-saving measures and working with company vendor manager to negotiate contracts.
• Ensure that all properties are properly maintained and repaired, including managing emergency repair.
• Collaborate with property managers and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance the resident experience.
• Ensure that all staff are properly trained in safety procedures and that all facilities are safe and secure for residents and employees.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a multi-family real estate company.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and landscaping.
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.

New hires generally start between $126,000.00 - $157,000.00 per year. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs.This role is also eligible to participate in Essex's discretionary Annual Bonus program that is commensurate with the level of the position.
