a qualified Med/Surg RN in Fairfield, California, 94533! Job Title:

Telemetry and previous travel experience Description: The Clinical
Nurse (RN) is responsible, accountable, and authorized to deliver
safe, effective, quality nursing care according to the philosophy
and goals of the nursing department. The RN utilizes Jean Watson's
Theory of Caring, Relationship-Based Care, and a professional
nursing practice model to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
care for all patients assigned to their care. The RN makes
determinations regarding the patient's progress toward goals and
utilizes therapeutic professional relationships with patients,
families, and the interdisciplinary team to facilitate the
promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health. Care is provided
based on the specific physiological, developmental, and
psychosocial needs of the patient. The RN supports the mission,
vision, values, and expectation of excellence of the organization.
The RN demonstrates the ability to transfer scientific knowledge
from social, biological, and physical sciences while applying the
nursing process. The RN provides care that is consistent with the
interdisciplinary plan of care and is grounded in
Relationship-Based Care principles. The RN continually assesses the
patient's physical and psychosocial condition and formulates
nursing diagnoses through observation and communication with the
patient and health team. The RN formulates care plans in
collaboration with the patient, ensuring that nursing services
provide safety, comfort, hygiene, protection, disease prevention,
and restorative measures. The RN performs essential nursing skills
and educates patients and families about their health needs. The RN
evaluates the effectiveness of the care plan and modifies it as
needed based on the patient's condition and reactions to treatment.
The RN demonstrates a working knowledge and safe use of equipment,
medications, and instrumentation. The RN delegates tasks to care
team members based on their legal scopes of practice and supervises
nursing care provided by the team. The RN acts as the client
advocate, initiating actions to improve care or change decisions
against the client's interests or wishes, and ensures informed
decision-making by the client. The RN provides culturally
competent, age-appropriate, ethical care within legal practice
standards. The RN coordinates patient care activities with other
healthcare professionals and ancillary team members. The RN
utilizes effective communication skills to facilitate safe patient
handoffs and documents nursing care as per hospital policies. The
RN uses manual and automated information systems to enhance
