Position Summary This is a critical position in our firm that gives an entry level or experienced customer service representative an opportunity to utilize a vast array of skills, develop new knowledge and grow in their career. The Personal Insurance Customer Services Associates performs a wide variety of administrative and service functions and provides support to the overall Personal Insurance division. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Responsibilities + Support team with new business placement efforts: + Assist team with CLUE Reports, location checks, and quoting + Advise Producer(s) & Account Executive regarding client documents and underwriting information necessary to market coverage + Develop appropriate marketing and placement strategy, utilizing internal and external resources as necessary + Prepare application submissions, and complete marketing process + Develop client presentation materials; create a proposal that includes selected markets and coverage options and provide the proposal to the Producer(s) or Account Executive for presentation, or present the proposal to the client + At the direction of the Producer(s) or Account Executive, prepare required documents for binding. Upon receipt, issue coverage as directed. + Issue appropriate certificates of insurance, auto identification cards, binders and/or other required documents to client on a timely basis. + Checking new business policies for accuracy + Ensure file documentation is consistent with the organization's standard policies and practices + Guide Account Executive in the process of remarketing existing clients and take on specific remarketing projects from the Account Executive + Keep abreast of industry information regarding new product information, coverage changes and new technology in an effort to continuously improve knowledge + Execute on of all other tasks assigned on a regular or periodic basis Accountabilities + Complete all assigned projects and tasks in a timely and efficient manner. + Interact with others effectively by utilizing oral and written communications. + Provide accurate and timely information to those you are charged with supporting + Process changes consistent with the requirements of the Personal Lines Procedures Manual + Keep client agency management system data updated by entering new data and documenting actions taken on behalf of clients Knowledge, Skills and Abilities + Highly positive with good energy + High detail orientation + Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills + Excellent organizational skills + Insurance brokerage experience a plus but not required + College education preferred, but not required + Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks + Ability to operate various computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite, Agency Management Systems, etc.) + Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide whole numbers and complete simple calculations involving decimals and fractions with accuracy. + Knowledge of multi-line phone system. + Ability to process written materials visually.
