About the Role

We're looking for a dynamic People Operations Coordinator to help evolve the experience for our external candidates and employee lifecycle while assisting in the operations and processes of a strategic HR team. This support role is integral in helping us grow and scale as an HR team by optimizing our technical, operational, and administrative support to drive performance and culture.

The People Operations Coordinator will be responsible for various Human Resources functions under the direction of the People Operations Manager with a heavy emphasis on full-cycle recruiting and onboarding that builds deeper connections.

What You'll Do


  • Full life cycle recruitment; screening, selecting, hiring, and onboarding
  • Post and maintain open requisitions on the company career page and applicable job boards.
  • Process and review employment applications and resumes to evaluate the qualifications and eligibility of applicants.
  • Move through the recruitment life cycle in a timely manner and respond to all applicants by phone, email, and in-person (when applicable).
  • Conduct candidate phone screens and schedule follow up interviews following the outlined departmental hiring process
  • Conduct reference checks and run background checks for candidates
  • Educate and communicate company policies and procedures to newly hired and current employees.
  • Responsible for onboarding newly hired employees to include: New hire orientation, employee handbook overview, completion of employment documents, HRIS system overview, and benefits enrollment.
  • Create and maintain complete and confidential files on each employee following the companies standard operating procedures including personnel files, I9, and medical files.
  • Coordinate and assist with company-wide People Operations programs and Employee Engagement events and activities
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

    • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations as it relates to employment law
    • Ability to work independently with little supervision required.

        Education, Experience, and Training:

        • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Behavioral Science, Human Resources, or related field preferred. Relevant and equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a collegiate degree.
        • 2+ years of People Operations experience with required - knowledge of basic HR and/or Recruiting transactions
        • 2+ years of previous transactional HRIS and ATS experience and working knowledge of Paylocity solutions highly desired, or similar HRIS experience.
        • Technologically savvy, Proficiency with G-Suite, and MS Office solutions - Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
        • Prior experience in a start-up and/or SaaS environment a plus
