Job Description:

LHH is seeking an experienced Payroll-HR Specialist for our client in Novato, CA.This direct hire opportunity is hybrid - 4 days a week onsite and will report to the Director of HR. This role requires excellent time management and organizational skills.Responsibilities:

• Ensure payrolls are processed timely and accurately
• Review all timesheets to ensure staff hours and PTO/leave are recorded correctly
• Process all new hires, payroll changes, and terminations utilizing Paycom
• Reconcile payroll data, accruals, and all payroll deductions during payroll process, when required.
• Work closely with Director of HR on all LOA, PFL, or state disability payments
• Ensure Paycom is set up with all deduction codes pertaining to LOA, workers comp, any court mandated garnishment deductions, etc.
• Perform monthly audits to validate all employee changes, benefit deduction, accruals, etc.
• Initiate onboarding for all new hires, assist with New Hire Orientations, and set up new employees with direct deposits and timesheet processes
• Perform other duties as assignedQualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years experience managing multi-state payrolls
  • Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, Paycom, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask on several different projects to meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a collaborative team
