What We Need
2K is looking for an executive leader to direct our mobile games
operations with a focus on boldly expanding the mobile business and
portfolio. The ideal candidate for this role is responsible for
setting and delivering against a range of key targets including
total revenue, user acquisition, retention, and profit margins. You
must have a consistent track record of effectively identifying and
capitalizing on global market opportunities to drive revenue growth
and expand market penetration. You should have a combination of
expertise in product design, strategic and market positioning
qualifications, and strong financial accountability.
Using our core IP, lead and synchronize our global mobile strategy,
growing mobile f2p, exposing 2K to the fastest growing gaming
player base (mobile). Simultaneously grow our business in APAC, to
emerging markets via mobile
Lead our partnerships with first and third party studio management
and development teams, as well as publishing departments to
develop, optimize and drive production and operational excellence
across all mobile projects
Lead a team developing the creative and technical vision for all 2K
mobile products. Set product line budgets and profit and loss
performance goals
Lead a team of mobile product specialists, managing performance and
day-to-day work, setting direction, and establishing expectations;
ensure that team has appropriate resources to achieve defined
objectives
Lead the development and management of an extraordinary mobile
production pipeline to achieve an increase in velocity,
predictability and accountability across all functions, while
reducing overhead
Partner with analytics team to increase performance across all
business critical metrics
Lead the team researching and communicating game market trends,
patterns, and customer requirements as they relate to the
development of new features or content
Lead the team directing key game metrics, proactively identifying
optimizations to game tuning, player experience, and financial
performance
Direct business reviews with key partners to establish performance
benchmarks that measure and improve commercial performance
Effectively communicate the product strategy of the game to the
product management team and shape launch strategy with the goal of
hitting revenue targets, running and performing A/B tests,
establishing benchmarks, and measuring performance
Coordinate with user acquisition to develop thorough understanding
of incoming traffic and adjust new user funnel performance in order
to hit critical metric goals
Lead the team responsible for analyzing the economy design elements
for new features, including but not limited to pricing and release
schedule to ensure balance and monetization fundamentals are
solid
Lead the creation of brand development and management by defining
product features/roadmaps and direction, establishing long-term
goals and brand metrics for success
Lead the teams managing products through their entire lifecycle
from early design phase through post-launch, leading the P&L
and brand plan across global territories
Identify, negotiate with, and supervise activities of third-party
resources engaged for development and production
Partner closely with marketing leaders to ensure effective
promotion and distribution. Develop the long-term product strategy
goals globally (3-5 years)
Continually communicate project risks and obstacles effectively to
both team members and management, while also suggesting appropriate
mitigation strategies
Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit
Bachelor's degree, 10+ years of experience with at least 5 of those
years, in mobile or F2P games, or equivalent combination of
education and experience
Capable of maintaining a "30,000-foot view" on projects, in order
to provide balanced perspective for team leaders, who are much
closer to their individual project
Strong focus on the leadership of leaders; must be capable of
attaining the highest quality results without actually having hands
on the individual teams
Strong familiarity with the gaming market and industry trends, as
they relate to game development and the mobile space
Desire and ability to operate in a high-pressure, fast-paced
environment without losing focus or effectiveness
A confident public speaker, particularly able to handle the
successful navigation of executive project reviews
An outstanding team leader, with a track record of directly
improving the performance of team members
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Passion, focus, creativity, and a positive outlook
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound
decisions
Ability to effectively communicate with people at all
organizational levels and from various backgrounds
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within
constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
