communication skillsetsThe primary focus of this position will be
around engineering and administering our WebSphere MQ
implementation. The candidate is expected to have recent hands on
experience with WebSphere MQ in a UNIX and/or Linux environment.
Experience with other message queueing related software (i.e.
Rabbit MQ, ActiveMQ, AMQP, JMS, etc.) and tools (IR360, AutoPilot,
etc.) is an advantage but not required.A successful candidate must
have good communication skills as a large part of this role will
involve working with the infrastructure architects and other
development/engineering/operations/testing teams. The role will
involve administering Pre-Prod MQ server environments as well as
engineering and documenting new MQ designs for Production. There is
no on-call requirement for this role.Platform Engineering is also
responsible for other layers of the stack so if the candidate has
experience with hardware (Dell/Oracle), virtualization (VMware,
Zones, LDoms), operating systems (Red Hat 5/6, Solaris 10/11),
Java, application servers (WebLogic, Tomcat/tc Server), and
-especially -web servers (particularly Oracle iPlanet Web Server),
those are also pluses. With that said, the primary focus is MQ for
this role.Working with Apex outside the system, will be calling it
out to 1 other vendor.
like to start phone screening candidates (-15 mins) by the end of
next week. If a candidate passes the phone screening, they will be
brought in for an in person technical interview (45 mins to 1 hr)
next week. This position will be based in SF. -
The primary focus of this position will be around engineering and

other message queueing related software (i.e. Rabbit MQ, ActiveMQ,

advantage but not required. -

Although WebSphere MQ is the primary focus of the role, a candidate
with experience in and a willingness to work on other areas of the
DCT stack (particularly operating systems) would be strongly
preferred.
- MQ Server 7.5
- technical experience MQ 7.5 is strongly preferred, but experience
with 7.0 (or later) is a must
- Knowledge of high availability solutions for MQ would also be
strongly preferred
- Experience with iPlanet 7 is also preferred, but less of a hard
requirement
- Weblogic administration and experience helpful
- tuning of servers and setting up new environments
