Job Description:
Walmart Inc. is seeking a Director of Data Science to lead our
advanced analytics initiatives in order to boost operational
efficiencies and enhance customer experiences across our vast
network of stores and online platforms. As a Director, you will
leverage large datasets, predictive analytics, and machine learning
to drive significant business decisions and strategize innovative
solutions that align with Walmarts mission of helping people save
money to live better. This role requires collaboration with
cross-functional teams to implement scalable and sustainable
data-driven strategies and to mentor a talented team of data
scientists and engineers. Develop and execute data science projects
that support Walmart’s strategic goals. Manage and mentor a team of
data scientists, analysts, and engineers. Collaborate with various
business units to understand their data requirements and provide
strategic guidance. Oversee the design, development, and
implementation of machine learning models to solve complex business
problems. Ensure data quality and integrity in all analytics
activities. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging
technologies in data science and AI. Expertise in machine learning,
statistical analysis, and predictive modeling. Proficiency in
programming languages such as Python or R. Strong leadership and
team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and communication
skills. Ability to translate complex datasets into strategic
insights. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Certified Data Scientist (CDS) Project Management
Professional (PMP) for tech projects is a plus.
