Job Description:

The Manufacturing Operations Specialist is responsible for the daily manufacturing of GMP Oligonucleotides, able to follow all documented procedures, participate in training new employees, and fosters a culture of safety and quality. The Manufacturing Operations Specialist collaborates in daily production scheduling, priorities, reporting workloads and priorities to management, troubleshooting equipment, processes, and product, while ensuring instrumentation readiness within the manufacturing space.Areas of Responsibility:* Heavily Participates in oligo manufacturing processes in order to meet production deadlines and KPIs.* Performs all assigned job functions per documented procedures as directed by immediate supervisor.* Participates in troubleshooting and monitoring of production equipment.* Able to execute complex manufacturing projects.* Provides project progress to management on a regular basis.* Capable of operating and manufacturing product on all instruments in immediate work area.* Effectively communicate and coordinate with internal suppliers, production team members and production managers to ensure the most efficient use of time and resources.* Produces in process data, organizes results, and plans production steps accordingly.* Maintains accurate and complete records for production projects and results.* Performs training of production team members on new processes.* Acts as a process resource for GMP oligonucleotide manufacturing and SME for immediate work area.* Responsible for the safe use of hazardous chemicals in a manufacturing environment on a daily basis.* Supply regular feedback to management on the status of instrumentation processes.Other Skills and Abilities:* Professional presence and strong attention to detail.* Technical proficiency that enables effective participation in the production process.* Strong communication and problem solving abilities.CA2QualificationsQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in the Life Sciences or Chemistry, 1+ years of industry experience and/or demonstrated proficiency to meet the requirements of a Manufacturing Operations Specialist.Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Capable of calculating equivalents.Computer Skills:Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Use of a web browser.
