Position Summary ultracurious-Apply your biggest ideas in courageous ways For genetic diseases, the diagnosis and identification of patients are critical to both clinical development and to commercialization. This can involve both educating doctors on making the diagnosis, tracking and understanding the doctors evaluating and caring for these patients, and liaising with the genetics and molecular diagnostics program to provide tools such as sequencing testing to facilitate diagnosis. Finally, the data obtained from the patient diagnosis initiatives should be resources available to the field to enhance the diagnosis and care of patients through the education of health care providers. The identification and accurate diagnosis of patients with rare diseases is crucial to the success of the company's commercial and pipeline clinical programs. The Associate Director/Director, Operations and Analytics, Patient Diagnosis Programs will be responsible for managing the capture, tracking, and analysis of all activities and insights related to the identification of eligible patients. They will be responsible for the ongoing configuration and management of the CRM system used for tracking all field activity including the design and creation of data fields for new programs as well as the design and creation of reports and dashboards to inform management. The Associate Director/Director, Field Operations and Analytics will also be responsible for developing and executing HCP targeting strategies for each program including determining the best targeting approach to meet the unique needs of each disease state, selecting and procuring data sources to meet those needs, and leading the roll out of those targets to field teams and other channels as appropriate. Finally, they will provide analytical support and synthesis to the PDP team including both regular and ad hoc reporting and insight generation as well as designing and executing hypothesis-driven analyses and business recommendations in response to key business questions. Responsibilities to include, but not limited to: Develop HCP targeting strategies to meet the needs of each commercial and clinical program Partner with IT to configure and maintain PDP's CRM system to ensure that it meets the data capture and reporting needs of the organization Provide regular and ad hoc analytic and reporting support to PDP leadership including the creation of appropriate dashboards and reports in a variety of formats tailored to the needs of audiences ranging from field management up through senior Ultragenyx leadership Develop and execute hypothesis-driven analyses, insights, and recommendations to answer key business questions and support PDP decision-making Respond flexibly and adaptively to the needs of the organization through a culture of continuous improvement and innovation Ensure all activities are compliant with company policies and SOPs Requirements: Bachelor's degree or credentialing in a relevant discipline. An MBA is advantageous, but not essential (if no MBA, additional work experience is required) At least 7 years of industry experience At least 3 years of experience providing field analytics and operational support Experience working with a medical or commercial field-based organization preferred Experience working with a CRM system such as Salesforce or Veeva CRM Experience working with HCP and patient data sources including claims, prescriptions, diagnoses, and others Experience managing data projects and data vendors in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industry Demonstrated ability to structure and conduct analyses to generate insights and recommendations Demonstrated ability to synthesize data and analytics to enable decision-making Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing organizational needs Relevant experience in the rare disease space encompassing patient diagnosis Values-based collaborator - respectful, accountable, and collaborative Ability to relate and work with a wide range of people to achieve results Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule #LI-CS2 #LI-1 Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical is an equal opportunity employer & prohibits unlawful discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin/ancestry, age, disability, marital and veteran status.
