Position Summary:

Reporting to the SVP, Financial Planning & Analysis, you will lead all budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for the Technical Operations department. Your responsibilities will include: providing strategic analysis to guide optimized financial decisions; create complex financial models; contribute to the continuing development of our financial reporting platform; contribute in the development and reporting of Indicators and other financial metrics, and participating in month-end close activity, including variance analysis, trial balance review, identification of potential adjustments, and variance commentary for management.

Responsibilities, including:

  • Become a trusted partner to the Technical Operations organization, providing strategic financial leadership
  • Lead budget, forecast, and long-range planning process for the Technical Operations organization
  • Develop complex financial models, including COGS projections
  • Contribute in coordinating our planning process and providing all associated reporting deliverables and analysis to the executive leadership team and the Board
  • Provide FP&A planning support for business partnerships and collaborations as assigned
  • Essential participant in the monthly accounting close process (financial statement analysis, variance review support)
  • Support the management reporting process, including the development of financial Indicators
  • Collaborate in the continuing development of our FP&A planning tool, Adaptive Insights, to improve efficient forecasting and analysis
  • Work with the Procurement team to maximize the value return of our vendor spend
  • Provide strategic financial support to our project teams as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required, MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant biotech/pharma work experience in a financial analysis role that requires strategic business support and C-level interaction.
  • Relevant experience in financial partnering and support for the Technical Operations department
  • Financial systems fluency with a passion for delivering the right data in the right format to inform the decision process
