Hours & Positions Vary

Specialized Day Programs
Monday - Friday 8:30am- 2:30pm or 9:30 am -3:00pm
Pay Rate: Up to $16.50/hour

Roommate Positions
This position has an obligation to be in the home overnight Sunday to Thursday 10:00pm to 6:30am in exchange for rent
In addition to being a roommate

Hours available through client In Home Support Services (IHSS)
Monday - Friday 3:00pm-10pm (IHSS)
Monday - Friday 6am-8:30am (IHSS)
2 weekend a month (IHSS) 10:00 pm Friday-10:00 pm Sunday
1 weekend a month (IHSS) 10:00 pm Fiday- 10:00 pm Sunday

Weekend Positions
Every other Saturday & Sunday 8:00 am-8:00 pm
DUTIES
Duties as specified by the coordinator will include, but may not be limited to:
--- Domestic Home Care (cleaning, cooking, laundry)
--- Domestic Self Care (bathing, dressing, hygiene)
--- Financial (budgeting, assisting client with good money choices)
--- Health (diet, medical appointments, medications, exercise programs)
--- Safety (ensuring the client is safe, safety training)
--- Recreation (social activities, classes, areas of personal interest)
--- Relationships (supporting relationships with family and friends, facilitation of new relationships)
--- Transportation (school, work, appointments, community outings)
--- Adhere to the principles of Supported Living
--- To work hours agreed upon in the client's monthly schedule
--- To attend monthly staff meetings
--- Documentation (complete daily log notes, medication sheets, incident reports, action forms, timecards, as needed)
--- To communicate any major changes in the client's schedule (hospital visit, taking a client out of town, encountering difficulties in the community, etc.) to your Coordinator or Supported Living Director immediately.
--- Non-exempt employees must record their actual hours worked on our time and attendance system via smartphone, computer, or landline phone by submit by 2pm Monday of pay week.
--- Submit supplemental timesheets (mileage, expenses and calculations) to Coordinator by Sunday evening of pay week.
--- To be honest and straightforward in all communications with management at CACS
--- To maintain a positive and professional relationship with your coordinator, co-workers, client's family and other support services
--- To participate in all in-services, trainings as requested by our coordinator
--- To follow any requests by the coordinator or Supported Living Director not out-lined above
--- Emergency Procedures (chain of authority, 911)

The direct support professional should be enthusiastic, motivated, flexible, organized, responsible and accountable.

The DSP must demonstrate the ability to be a team player, have knowledge of the service they work in and take responsibility for their work.

The DSP must strive toward enabling the people they support to become a part of the community.

The DSP will adhere to the Code of Ethics delineated in the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrate a working understanding of the concept of supported living.
Demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively, as a team player, with other direct support professionals.
Must have a valid California driver's license and clean driving record
(according to our insurance company standards).
Must have and maintain a safe, registered and insured vehicle.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
