Job Description:
Overview:The temporary staff Pediatrician provides quality
primary care to patients of Marin Community Clinics consistent with
her/his training and expertise, and appropriate to the ambulatory
care setting provided.Required bilingual skills: SpanishWork
schedule: 24 or 40 hours per weekClinic locations: 3110/3260 Kerner
Blvd. San Rafael & 6100 Redwood Blvd. Novato CaliforniaTemporary
status assignment length up to 6 monthsCovid-19 Vaccination and
Boosters Requirements: All employees are required to be fully
vaccinated for COVID-19, including "health-care" required boosters
as a condition of employment, subject to limited exemptions. New
employees are required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated
for COVID-19 and boosted before the first day of employment. If you
completed your primary series, received an original booster and it
has been more than 2 months from that booster dose - it is
recommended, but not required that you receive the Bivalent
booster.Responsibilities:Provides comprehensive outpatient
pediatric primary care.Conducts routine well-child care visits,
urgent care and follow up appointments.Provides supervision and
consultation to mid-level pediatric practitioners working at the
clinic.Opportunity to conduct pediatric inpatient hospital rounds
at local hospital based on need and interest.Participates in
quality management activities as assigned by the Medical
Director.Participates in the direction and development of health
care services provided by Marin Community Clinics as a member of
the primary health care team.Qualifications:Medical school degree
from an accredited school of medicine.Completion of a 3 year
pediatrics residency required.Must have a valid and unrestricted
license issued by the Medical Board of California to practice
medicine.Board eligible/Board certified highly preferred.Current
registration issued by the DEA allowing the prescription of
drugs.Current BLS certification.Bilingual in medical Spanish is
required.Ability to see patients 0-18 years of age.Ability to see
up to 10 patients per 4 hour shift schedule.Prior experience
working with under-served communities in a Community Health Clinic
environment (FQHC) highly desirable.Experience with EPIC Electronic
Health Records preferred.Flexibility to work occasional evenings or
