Job Description:
Bank of Marin, voted by our employees as one of the "Best Places

Card Services Lead to join our Consumer Services team at either our
corporate office in Novato or our Rancho Cordova office.
The ATM & Card Services Lead acts as the technical expert for Card
and ATM activities. Independently handles escalated customer and
branch problem transactions. Investigates and determine appropriate
course of action and conclusion for all Regulation E-Error
Resolution claims. Oversees and monitors daily card activity and
ensures all transactions are processed completely and timely each
day for card processing. Ensures that all compliance requirements
and regulatory deadlines are met daily.
Essential Job Functions:
* Resolve Branch and Customer Card exceptions according to
compliance and regulatory time frames. This includes but is not
limited to: ATM/Visa Debit Card disputes, ATM/Visa Debit card
adjustments, Network Adjustments, Proper settlement of credits and
debits by the accounting department, ATM/Visa Debit Compromised
Card branch notification, Visa Debit Card Non posted items, Visa
Debit Card Negative Status, Branch ATM Settlement, Branch
Transaction Research, and Published phone line responsibility for
all lost, stolen or compromise situations.
* Review and approve card transactions prepared by Card
Processor(s) to ensure all have been completed accurately,
according to compliance and regulatory time frames. Assess volumes
and staffing limitations to ensure all time sensitive transactions
are processed according to required deadlines. Assist with heavy or
unusual volumes as required.
* Monitor cards email box and review timely handling of emails
* Monitor daily workflow in the card department and review and
approve daily work
* Audit exception reports.
* Investigate emerging technologies and best business practices
related to card applications and processes which includes all Visa,
FICO and FIS related card bulletins.
* Determine and recommend improvements or changes for card
activities.
* Determine and recommend adoption and/or implementation for new
Card or ATM products or processes.
* Conduct quality assurance review and testing for new and changing
card and ATM activities. Communicate new and changing processes to
customers and branches.
* Coordinate all card documentation and statistics.
* Act as the central repository for all card related statistics by
collecting volumes and reporting to results to Supervisor
* Collaborate with Fraud Officer and Security Officer to combat
card fraud and future loss exposure for the bank.
* Prepare and update debit card procedures as needed.
* Prepare all Debit Card related communications to branches and
departments.
Job Skill Level/Additional Requirements:
* Thorough knowledge of FIS Core System, including Data Navigator.
Thorough knowledge of Visa Regulations and Regulation E. Thorough
knowledge of bank operations, policies, and procedures.
* Ability to independently utilize resources available such as FIS
Client Support, and other departments to resolve problems.
* Thorough knowledge of applicable operating and computer systems,
which includes ATM terminals. Advanced skills in Microsoft
Office.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Able to independently examine a problem or issue and use job
knowledge to come to a conclusion or resolution.
* Ability to schedule and execute multiple tasks or projects
simultaneously.
* Able to expertly construct emails, and other critical
correspondence such as Card compromise urgent communications, that
clearly define required customer actions to be taken.
* Ability to professionally communicate both verbally and in
writing in a clear and concise manner with internal and external
clients.
Professional/Educational Experience:
* 3-5 years related experience and/or training
* Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or
technical school; or equivalent combination of education and
experience and/or training.
The hiring pay range for this position is $26.35 to $37.44. In
addition to the pay range listed, all bank positions are eligible
for incentive compensation, which varies based on role. The pay
rate for a successful applicant depends on a variety of factors
including but not limited to geographic location, work experience,
education, and/or skill level.
