Water Supply Business Class Leader - ( 184218 )At HDR, our

but around the world.The Water Supply Business Class (WS BC) is a
team of water resources civil engineers, planners, modelers,
economists, and Project Managers. The team works on a wide variety
of complex multi-disciplinary and multi-benefit projects focused on
flood risk management, ranging from planning to Risk Informed
Decision Making, analysis, and design. The primary focus of the WS
BC Leader is to plan, direct, and oversee internal operations of
the BC as well as support the WS team on delivery and quality.In
this role, you'll be expected to:
- Support NorCal Water Resources Management Market Sector
initiatives, projects, marketing, clients, growth, BC coordination,
and maintain open communication with staff and the NorCal
leadership team.
- Assist and lead Section Managers on tasks related to BC
operations, focusing on workload support, staffing needs, and
hiring coordination.
- Manage risks related to WS project delivery and support project
teams as needed.
- Collaborate with NorCal's leadership to address delivery
issues, support communication efforts, and secure approvals for BC
operations.
- Participate in national workload calls and coordinate with the
national WS team and BC Director.
- Lead pursuits of flood-related projects.
- Review scopes and fees for WS BC projects.
- Mentor and support mid and senior staff.
- Actively manage BC and staff, providing timely support.
- Plan, organize, track, and evaluate BC work and support
needs.
- Provide technical reviews and guidance on hydrologic and
hydraulic modeling, design, construction, and project
implementation.
- Perform technical engineering tasks requiring critical thinking
and creativity, especially for unique elements with limited
guidance.
- Perform other duties as needed.Preferred qualifications
include:
- CA Professional Engineering registration
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
- Good leadership and organizational skillsRequired
qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 10 years of experience
- Professional registration and related technical experience
- Experience managing diverse teams
- Ability to collaborate with business class leaders and
managers
